Joana Gonçalves Pereira (b. 1975) is a visual artist living and working in Lisbon, Portugal. She graduated in Architecture from the Uni- versity of Lisbon and worked as an architect, until she turned to the visu- al arts. In 2017, she completed a degree in ceramics at Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual and, in 2019, an advance course of Fine Arts at the same institution. Her body of work explores the durability of everyday life objects and the fragility of ceramics, an interest she relates to her past life in Macao.
