Monika Michalko (b. 1982) was born in the Czech Republic and raised in southern Germany. Her paintings are complex, vivid stories that come together in abstract realms. She studied at the HfBK in Ham-burg (2003-2009) and spent a year at the École supérieure des beaux- -arts de Marseille, in France. Her latest exhibition, Laboratoire Lapidar (2021) was held at the Produzentengalerie Hamburg, in Germany.
