Shana Moulton (b. 1976) is an American artist delving into video, sculptural installation, and performance to convey her numerous aesthetic realms, especially around her alter ego, Cynthia. The search for spirituality, the anxieties of the modern world, and consumerism are all part of Moulton’s body of work, which lean on the fantastic and absurd to portray it. She studied at the University of California, Berkeley (1994-1999), Carnegie Mellon University (2001-2004), the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2004) and De Ateliers, in Amsterdam (2004-2006). She currently lives in California.
