Olaf Metzel (b. 1952) is one of the most important contemporary German sculptors who has many decades of prominent work under his belt, which are indelibly explicit critiques of politics and society. His line of work revolves around his purpose to reflect the time in which we live by creating visibility for certain issues and pressing social and cultural matters.
