Dirk Meinzer (b. 1972) is a post-conceptual, contemporary artist born in Karlsruhe, Germany, who currently lives between Hamburg and Deinste. His body of work is vast and long-lasting and consists mainly of paintings, drawings, performances, books, objects, and assembla- ges. His pieces explore culture and artistic heritage within many real- ms, including his own account. Meinzer has over seven solo shows and 54 group shows over the last decade under his belt, as well as a tea- ching position at the HfBK Hamburg (2010-2011) and at the HfK Bremen (2019-2020). Since 2018 he has been a lecturer for drawing at the HAW Hamburg.
